Formerly known as the Star China Company, The Paragon China Company was a noted British manufacturer of high quality bone china including tableware and tea ware during the 1919 to 1960s. Paragon China Company was based on Longton, Stoke-on Trent.

The Star China Company was a partnership founded by Herbert Aynsley and Hugh Irving in 1897. The company name was then changed to Paragon China Company Ltd. after Herbert Aynsley retirement in 1919. Because of its beautiful fine china pieces, Paragon China Company Ltd. received several warrants from several members of the British Royal Family such as Queen Mary in 1933, Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother in 1938 and Queen Elizabeth II in 1953. The Tapestry Rose cake plate measures 10.25 inches while the dessert plates are 6 3/4 inches. The Tapestry Rose has a double Royal trademark at the bottom. Also with the double Royal trademark is the Demitasse English cup and saucer. Luxuriously designed in gold floral trims with colourful flowers in the cup’s inner rim, the Demitasse cup and saucer is sold for $98.

3. History and Nostalgia is also selling Paragon fine china. One of their pieces is the fine bone china saucer that has a trademark “By Appointment to Her Majesty the Queen and Her Majesty Queen Mary”. The Paragon fine bone china saucer has a pink background with a red rose in the center and gold rim in the outer and inner edges. The Paragon fine china saucer is 5.5” in diameter and has no chips or cracks. The lovely item is sold for $12.
